U-15 European Water Polo Championship. Hungary takes first place in the Championship

The European Water Polo Championship U-15 in Bulgaria’s Burgas has come to an end. In the final, the Hungarians beat Montenegro and took first place, while Italy beat Greece and finished third.

The national team of Hungary and Serbia met in the quarterfinals. The game was as interesting as the game of adults of these countries. The Serbs lost 8-4, but in the latter period they managed to turn the score in their direction: 10-11. The Hungarians responded with two unanswered balls in the last 45 seconds of the game and returned the victory to their hands. The scoreboard at the end of the game is 12-11.

Italy and Spain also showed a good game in the quarter-finals. The main time ended almost with a football score: 3-3. The Italians took the victory on penalties.

It was also very difficult for the Greeks in the quarter-finals with the Georgians. The score at the end of the game is 10-12, but the Greeks literally snatched victory from the Georgians, winning the fourth period with a score of 5-2.

In the semi-finals, the Hungarians won a tough game against Italy. The game ended with a score of 8-6, and montenegrins did not leave a single chance to the Greeks: 13-8. In the first period of the final Hungary immediately led 5-0. The outcome of the game was clear from the first few minutes. The final score is 15-9. In the match for bronze, the Italians beat the Greeks 9-8.
