2019 Aquatics World Cup. Results of the first day of the Swimming Championships
Today is rich in interesting events in the world of swimming. Adam Peaty broke the World Record (57.10) in the semifinals of the 100 meters breaststroke, which he set himself in 2018, swimming the distance in 56.88. Australian Ariarne Titmus beat the legendary Katie Ledecky in the 400 meters freestyle.
Svetlana Chimrova did not qualify for the final in the semifinals of the 100 meters butterfly.

Oleg Kostin and Andrey Yilkin reached the final after the semifinal slab of 50 meters butterfly. Yilkin swam for 22.88 and Kostin for 23.21. In the same race was the oldest participant of the tournament – Nicolas Santos, an athlete from Brazil, now he is 39 years old, he was born in 1980.
Kirill Prigoda and Anton Chupkov also made it to the final. The team sailed in the first semi-final of the 100 meters breaststroke and finished the swim in 59.21, while Chupkov swam in the second semi-final and swam for 59.15.

In the men’s 4×100 relay, the Russian team took second place, losing to the Americans.
