On the seventh day of the Swimming Universiade tournament, 8 sets of medals were awarded. The Russian team has won one silver and two bronzes so far. Silver won at the men’s 4×100 relay complex. In the relay team: Grigory Tarasevich, Kirill Prigoda, Egor Kuimov, Ivan Kuzmenko. Daniil Markov won the bronze in the 50 meters freestyle, as well as Maxim Stupin in the 400 meters complex. We asked Maxim to answer some of our questions, to which he readily agreed:
RA: What can you say at today’s start, did everything go as planned?
Maxim: Today’s start was, of course, not without nerves, but he set himself up for a positive result and did everything he wanted. I decided not to make the same mistakes at the Russian Championship, started a little calmer and added in the second half.
RA: Which of the athletes at these competitions surprised, impressed and what?
Maxim: Our team surprised us. Every year I am more and more convinced that our team is the friendlier in the world.
RA: What are the impressions of the Universiade as a whole?
Maxim: In general, positive, but the road to the pool in the first days a little exhausted, then already accustomed.
